CHeRN works with other institutions and organizations to prepare and submit research proposals in response to RFPs and other grant requests addressing relevant public health and climate issues. For this activity, CHeRN will assemble a group of consultants capable of providing the expertise and work with the team submitting the proposal to insure a quality document is prepared. CHeRN will develop criteria to guide the organization to projects that are appropriate for CHeRN involvement. Projects will focus on climate and health, where there is an opportunity to provide better scientific understanding to take action that can improve human health and benefit climate.
Using this criteria as guidance, the president will work with the other institutions to put together the items needed for the proposal development. This will involve assembling consultants with the range of skills that have been identified as being the responsibility of CHeRN.
